About Cochillo

Mohammad had always loved startups. He was the CEO of several startups operating in Iran and had years of experience building and growing businesses. But his work and social life changed when his friends immigrated to Canada. Many of his friends had moved to Canada to continue their studies or work, and Mohammad called them many times and heard about their problems and challenges: from loneliness and distance from family to the difficulty of finding an Iranian coach or psychologist who could really help them.

With each call and conversation, Mohammad saw a clearer idea: “How can I help Iranian immigrants connect more easily with coaches and expert psychologists and pave their way to growth and success?”

The initial idea took shape, but it needed technical support and expertise to execute. At the same time, Mohammad spoke with Pouria, his old friend and classmate, who was now living in Canada and working for a health insurance company. In addition to her technical expertise, Pouria’s experience working in an international environment and her familiarity with the needs of immigrants in the Canadian health system were a great help in realizing the idea.

Combining Mohammad’s experience in startups and Pouria’s insight into technology and health systems led to the formation of the Coachillo platform: an online service where Iranian immigrants can easily find Iranian coaches and psychologists, book sessions, and be accompanied on their personal and professional growth path.

Coachillo is not just a service, but a bridge between experience, knowledge, and support; where immigrants feel they are not alone and can better navigate their path with the guidance of Iranian experts. By combining a human perspective and technical expertise, Mohammad and Pouria have transformed Coachillo into an international platform that is now used by thousands of Iranians in Canada and around the world.
